Comments welcome but mind the language!

I would like my blog to be interactive therefore I very much welcome comments and constructive feedback.

Any comments will be reviewed however before I decide if they should be published.

I have received a number of comments in the last few days that are nothing more than personal attacks on me and some of my Labour colleagues.

One SNP supporter, upset by my wee jibe at Innes Nelson, referred to me as an "*rsehole" in his comment. That type of language really is not suitable for a family blog.

Just as well I have a thick skin!

  1. Mr Mcabe ,As an interactive web user and follower of political blogs, this type of languade is in nobodies interest .Some councillors are active and fully support the wards they represent and others fall painfully short. This applies to all parties including your own.As I dont expect you to critisize your own ,it is no suprise that others will. When your councillor ignores you and make themselves invisible it is very easy to vent on political blogs such as yours. Some SNP councillors are definately riding a bandwagon at the minute and have very limited scope or capabilities, but unfortunately this also applies to some of your own.I wont name names but as your group leader you must know who puts in the hours and who dont, and by this I dont just mean commitee works but ward work.

  2. That's a shame. Hopefully it won't deter you from maintaining what is a very interesting and informative blog, which provides a glimpse into the working week of a working Councillor.

  3. If any constituent has a complaint about the commitment of any of my colleagues I would prefer that they raised this directly with them in the first instance. They can all be contacted by email at the Council: Firstname.Surname@inverclyde.gov.uk

If the constituent is unhappy with the response they can then email me: Stephen.McCabe@inverclyde.gov.uk

Thank you for the positive feeback Winston. I will endeavour to keep the blog interesting and informative.
