On holiday from work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Back at work on Thursday and Friday.
No Council commitments other than thinking about how to close our £4.7m budget gap over the next 3 years.

Why was the gap not identified earlier?
ReplyDeleteThe gap is in financial year 2015/16. We have known about it for some time and have been working to reduce it. The gap is a direct result of increasing demands for services in areas such as social care, cuts in funding from the Scottish Government, inflation and the Council Tax freeze.
ReplyDeleteAs we are looking to set a 3 year budget covering the financial years 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 we need to identify savings to close the gap by 2015/16.

Is 4.7M not near the amount that's getting wasted on a new road nobody in Gourock wants?
