Start date agreed for play area extension...

Following a pre-start meeting this week, I am pleased to report that work will commence on the new £25,000 extension to the children's play area in Kilmacolm's West Glen Park on Monday 20 February.

The project should be completed within 2-3 weeks.

This is the fourth major investment in play facilities in the Kilmacolm and Quarrier's Village area during the life of this Council. Previously a new play area was provided at Kilmacolm's Birkmyre Park and significant funding provided for the new community-led play area in Quarrier's Village. A new multi-use games area was also built by the Council in Birkmyre Park.

  1. great news. i have relocated to jersey-april of last year, for work. still come back and forth to my home in kilmacolm. this was badly needed. hope they will stop the older kids going in drinking at night time, and then leaving broken glass for the younger children.

p.s. thanks for all your help last year stephen.

    regards
